Brittany J. Shultz

Family Law Attorney

Brittany J. Shultz began her collegiate career at the University of Nebraska Kearney. She was a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Criminal Justice and a Social Work minor in 2016. During her studies, Brittany’s engaged in volunteer work that displayed the challenges people face in a family dynamic. These experiences drove her passion for practicing family law and advocating for clients during difficult times in their lives. Brittany understands that each family faces its own unique circumstances. She strives to ensure her clients are informed about their legal rights and responsibilities and meets clients with the utmost compassion.

Brittany received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska in May of 2020 and was admitted to practice law in Colorado in October of 2020. While in law school, Brittany completed the Litigation Skills Program of Concentrated Study and dedicated her time to learning the skills necessary to become a zealous advocate and problem solver in and out of the courtroom.

Brittany also participated in the law school’s Civil Clinic, where she was the lead student attorney on the Child Support Modification Clinic. The Child Support Modification Clinic focused on assisting clients struggling to meet their child support obligations.

During her summers, Brittany interned at a family law firm in Denver. Brittany’s background has allowed her to gain valuable experience with domestic relations matters, including dissolution of marriage, child custody, and parenting time/child support modifications. In her last semester of law school, Brittany interned in the misdemeanor division of the Denver District Attorney’s Office. She handled a variety of criminal cases and represented the prosecutor’s office in court daily. Ultimately, these experiences led her to realize her passion for working one-on-one with clients to protect their interests and navigate the complicated legal systems.

Before moving from Nebraska in 2019, Brittany spent a lot of time in Colorado, soaking up the outdoor experiences and local restaurants. In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, and traveling.
