What is Civil Law?

Common examples of issues include dog bite cases, recovering money from a person who damages your house or vehicle, and claims against someone for “defamation” (what we used to call libel & slander).

It provides a legal framework for workplace practices, ensuring fair treatment, safety, and non-discrimination, while also balancing the needs of employers and their workers. Common examples of issues include employment contract disputes, wage disputes, and questions about whether a person should be considered a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor.
