Christopher R. Opfer is a Colorado native and graduated from the University of Denver in May 2007 with a B.A. in Political Science and Criminology. Chris received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in May 2010 and was admitted to practice law in Colorado the same year. While attending the Sturm College of Law, Chris received his certification in mediation and served as a mediator for the Court Annexed Mediation Program. He was also awarded a position as a Judicial Fellow for the District Court in Denver following his graduation in 2010.
For over five years, Chris served as a Deputy District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas, Lincoln, and Elbert Counties). During that time, he handled thousands of cases, conducted 40 jury trials, and represented the People of the State of Colorado in hundreds of court hearings. Chris has also run multiple successful businesses including serving as the owner and CEO of an international product distribution company.
Chris has always had a passion for those in his community and has continually sought to make our communities a better place to live. In his private life, he learned first-hand the power that a Community Association (HOA) can have on those members in the community. After also seeing the impact an attorney can have on an Association, its Board, and its members, he wanted the legal field to do better. Chris seeks to bring the COMMUNITY back to Community Association Law one HOA at a time.
